My love

I took this picture on February, 3 2015. More then one year ago. The picture from Chùa Hang, very south of Vietnam, sea-cost next to Cambodian border. Nobody knows about this place. This is very provincial place.

My first acquaintance with my favourite country happened on January, 7 2014, Russian orthodox Christmas. I went from Cambodia with my 3 month visa, which I got in Sianukville. I started from Ha Tien, small town right on the border with Cambodia. I spent there more then one month because I got lots of work and didn’t have time for moving around.

That place was pretty boring. Population of the town is just 70k people, which is nothing in terms of Vietnam. I had only two evening activities there. Either going to the cafe for beer or riding rental bike around. Cafe belonged to British guy who had Vietnamese wife and kid. He was only one expat in that town)

After that town I went to Saigon, where I spent couple of weeks and celebrated Tet.

I really loved Vietnam only when I came to Nha Trang, where I live now. That happened around one year ago. I loved that relaxing atmosphere here and that was the reason because in the end of last year I decided to move to this nice city.

PS I’ve just checked my facebook timeline and found that picture of Nha Trand. I actually took it on February, 26. That was my first day here. I gotta celebrate this day this year)

Dalat, first feelings

Yesterday we arrived in Da Lat. We were 5 people, my friend’s family and my Chinese surfer, the girl 23 years old.

Dalat is 200,000 people city 250 km from mine. This is the city of entire spring. Temperature here is around 22 degrees round the year. People don’t use air conditioners, fans and heating system here, very comfortable weather. There is mountains here. Dalat is less crowded then Nha Trang. Architecture is similar to European, during the colonial period the city was for french resorts.

A friend of mine have hostel on Phuket and now he is thinking about opening one more hostel here in Dalat. One good advantage of Dalat is that less expenses for electricity when it comes to hotels and hostels.

Yesterday we checked in to the hotel with room with twin beds, one for that family and one for me with Chinese girl, we were hosted her here as well like in Nha Trang.

I always like to meet new local people when I come to new place and in the afternoon yesterday I found in Tinder one girl, we met up last night and she showed me around. We had dinner, went to the market where I bought very cheap strawberry and went to the bar where we drunk beer and listened good music, there was even concert of life music there.

She works as a dancer of traditional dances here in a park. We’d like to see her today.

My plans are going for a walk to that park today and for city tour tomorrow.

Tomorrow I’m gonna come back home. I’ve got couchsurfers tomorrow and CS event which I organised tomorrow night.

Vietnamese guys

The other day I sent massages to active couch-surfers around. Like “Hey what up how is it goin?”. Only one vietnamese boy respond me like “hello. when do you leave Nha Trang?”. Motherfucker) I don’t wanna leave Nha Trang)

The thing is that vietnamese guys mostly here have inferiority complex. They jealous western guys because westerns bigger, sturdy, more intelligent and reach.

They don’t like that we hang out and chill here, fuck vietnamese girls, ride expensive bikes, dress stylishly and spend lots of money.

Unfortunately I even don’t have any vietnamese male friends.

Cooking Russian salad and seeing off Tui.

Yesterday my vietnamese friend Tui went to Saigon, where she is gonna hit a plane to Malaysia, visiting her sister for a week and then she is gonna get back to Pnom Pehn, where she works.

Before her bus yesterday I met her for dinner, I was cooking Russian salad “Olivie”. She brought her friends as well.

She is really good person (left side of picture). I would like to see her again. She will probably come to Nha Trang in March if she got a job here.

Have a safe flight Tui! I miss you already)
